Gardaí in Tralee are trying to establish how a man who was hospitalised early today was critically injured.
The 42-year-old man, who is originally from Cork, was taken by ambulance to Kerry General Hospital from a house at Upper Rock Street in the town in the early hours of the morning.
Gardaí do not know if the man received his injuries as a result of a fall or if he was assaulted.
