The body of a man has been recovered from Lough Derg in Co Clare this afternoon.
It was located near Caher Island by the Shannon based coastguard helicopter during a search for a missing kayaker.
Lifeboat and coastguard personnel removed it from the water shortly after 3pm.
It wil be taken to hospital for a post mortem examination this afternoon.
