Aer Lingus has warned passengers intending to travel on Monday of the potential for severe disruption due to the current dispute with SIPTU over new work practices.
Talks between management and SIPTU have been continuing since yesterday afternoon.
In a statement issued by Aer Lingus a short time ago, the company said that those talks have not yet concluded.
However, they say they must now warn of the potential for disruption.
SIPTU says it remains committed to talks with Aer Lingus to resolve the dispute over cost cutting measures at the company.
Branch Organiser Teresa Hannick said this evening, 'Progress has been slow but we believe a successful outcome is possible if the company remains committed to the talks process.'
SIPTU has been balloting for industrial action, and the result of that ballot is due tomorrow.
The dispute is over new cost cutting work practices which management intends to introduce on Monday with or without full union agreement.
The company has threatened to suspend staff who fail to cooperate fully with the changes.
SIPTU has accused Aer Lingus of deliberately provoking a strike.
