The body of a 15-year-old boy has been in the grounds of a secondary school in Westport, Co Mayo.
The body of the teenage student was found at the back of Rice College shortly after 8am this morning.
He had been reported missing by his parents last night and his body was located by gardaí after an early morning search.
The body has been removed to Mayo General Hospital where a post mortem examination will be carried out.
Gardaí do not suspect foul play.
The principal and staff of Rice College have said they are upset and shocked following the death.
They say their thoughts and prayers are with the boy's family and have asked for the family's privacy to be respected.
Supports are being put in place for students including the provision of counselling, which is being organised through the National Educational Psychological Service.
A number of prayer services are also being held in the school today.
