A 50-year-old man who was injured in a fall on the Comeragh Mountains in Co Waterford has been rescued.
The alarm was raised at around 5pm this evening.
The South-Eastern and Tramore Mountain Rescue Teams have brought the man down the mountain.
He is now being treated for a hip injury at Waterford Regional Hospital.
Other mountain rescue operations also took place this weekend.
Earlier today, members of Kerry Mountain Rescue treated a woman on Carrauntuohill, Co Kerry, who fell on her way down from the summit, suffering minor injuries. She was taken to the hospital for a check up, after rescue teams assisted her down the mountain.
At about 5pm yesterday, two women aged 17 and 20, got into difficulty while walking in the Wicklow mountains.
One woman fell some 10 metres, and was treated for spinal injuries and a fractured arm. She was lowered by stretcher and transported by the Wicklow National Park boat to a waiting ambulance.
