Gardaí are appealing to motorists in Monaghan and Leitrim to drive with care following heavy rainfall in the area.
Some roads are quite heavily flooded and driving conditions are dangerous.
In Monaghan, the N2 and the N12 Armagh Road are said to be particularly dangerous.
Heavy flooding has also been reported on one section of the Dublin to Belfast road between Newry and Belfast, the road between Belcoo and Enniskillen in Co Fermanagh, and the Moira to Lisburn road.
