An 82-year-old man has been killed in a two-car collision in Co Derry.

He has been named as Samuel Scott from Castledawson, Co Derry.

The crash happened outside Magherafelt shortly after 10pm last night.

He was killed on the Aughrim Road when a dark Honda Jazz and a white Peugeot 306 crashed.

Another man was treated for shock and minor injuries.

Meanwhile, four teenagers were injured when their car overturned on the Old Ballynahinch Road in Lisburn, Co Antrim.

The accident occurred shortly before 1.30am.

Three were taken to hospital, where one remains in a serious condition.
