Three people were killed and seven injured today in a bomb blast in Naciria, 50 km east of the Algerian capital.
The bomb went off at around 7am near the police station in Naciria.
It is not yet clear whether the attack involved a booby-trapped car or suicide bomber.
On 11 December 41 people were killed including 17 UN staff and dozens injured in twin suicide car bomb attacks in Algiers.
A local branch of al-Qaeda claimed responsibility for both attacks.
