A man is in a critical condition at Beaumont Hospital after he was struck by a Luas tram in Tallaght last night.
The incident happened close to the Kingswood stop on the Red Line at around 8pm.
The injured man was taken by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital but was later transferred to Beaumont Hospital, where he is being treated for serious head injuries.
Gardaí and Luas operators Veolia Transport have both launched investigations into the incident.
