The mother of former Thin Lizzy lead singer Phil Lynott has condemned the widespread use of drugs in Ireland as investigations into the death of Katy French continue.
Yesterday, it emerged that the 24-year-old model, who died on Thursday evening, had taken cocaine before she was admitted to hospital last Sunday.
A post mortem examination has concluded that Ms French suffered brain damage.
Despite speculation that her death could be linked to cocaine, gardaí have not commented officially.
Philomena Lynott, who will mark the 21st anniversary of her son's death next month, said drug dealers must be treated as murderers.
