The Coast Guard has issued a warning to the public that there may be very dangerous conditions along coasts in the southwest and west because of a combination of tides, gale force winds and swollen rivers.
It said the public is advised not to go out on exposed coasts cliffs, piers, harbour walls, beaches, promenades or any other coastal areas.
Wave heights of more than 10m are expected.
