Police concern for teenager on Bebo trip

Police in Britain are trying to find a 14-year-old boy who is thought to have travelled over 300km to meet a girl he contacted via the social networking site Bebo.

Officers think that Robert Howard-Kraft travelled from his home in Suffolk to Liverpool to find the girl.

They say the teenager has not been seen since 9am yesterday and police are 'extremely concerned' for his welfare.

Police are confident that the girl is real - a spokeswoman said there was no evidence that Robert had unwittingly been in contact with an adult.

They think that he has borrowed money to pay for the trip.

Officers said he rang a member of his family late last night and was thought to have been at a rail station when he made the call.

'We need to find him and we need to hear from anyone who has seen him or knows where he is,' police said.
