The Labour Court has invited management and unions at Dublin Bus to weekend talks in an attempt to resolve the Harristown dispute.

It is understood that the invitation is contingent on there being no escalation or unofficial action in the dispute.

The National Bus and Rail Workers' Union has said it will only sanction an escalation of the dispute to other Dublin depots after staff in those depots have been balloted for industrial action.

There had been fears that drivers from Harristown might mount unofficial pickets at other Dublin depots.

Some 60,000 Dublin Bus users, mainly in the north and west of the city, are facing a fourth day without bus services.

The dispute centres on the introduction of two new routes from the Harristown depot.

The following routes have no service:
4, 13, 13a, 17a, 27b, 33b, 37x, 39x, 39b, 40, 40a, 40b, 40c, 40d, 70x, 83, 102, 105, 127, 129, 142, 230, 237, 238, 239.

There is limited service on routes 27x, 37, 38/a, 38c, 39, 41, 41c, 41x, 43, 70/a, 270.
