SIPTU has served strike notice on Aer Lingus over what it says is the company's decision to downgrade the working conditions of employees.
The union claims the company is forcing vulnerable temporary workers to sign contracts with less pay and longer hours or face the termination of their employment.
The strike action will consist of rolling four-hour stoppages throughout Tuesday 20 November and Friday 23 November at Dublin, Cork and Shannon airports.
The union is also seeking an all-out picket from ICTU.
