The Irish Road Haulage Association has warned that increasing fuel prices are threatening the future of the transportation industry and the strength of the economy.
Hauliers say rising oil prices will soon have to be passed on to consumers.
They are calling on the Government to find a way to reduce fuel costs for hauliers.
The association says industrial action is a possibility.
