Limerick - SIPTU workers involved in dispute

There is growing concern in Limerick about the future of 163 jobs at the Atlas Aluminium company based in the city.

The company manufactures die cast components for the global car industry.

The company has been hit by a strike by workers at the plant for over a week and the company says it cannot now meet its orders and may have to shut.

The workers, who are members of SIPTU, are in dispute with the company over pay and the conditions of some of the Polish workers employed at the plant.
