The first of two groups of Burmese refugees who are being resettled in Ireland are preparing to move into their new homes in Castlebar in Co Mayo.
Having fled the military regime in Burma, they have spent ten years in a refugee camp and have now moved to Ireland under a refugee resettlement programme.
Since arriving to the Ballyhaunis orientation centre adults have been going to daily classes aimed at helping them integrate into life here.
While pre-school entry classes are also provided for the children both at primary and post primary level.
