At least eight people have been killed and 50 others wounded following a car bomb in northern Iraq.
The powerful bomb ripped through a senior police convoy in Kirkuk. Among those killed were six civilians and two bodyguards. The region's traffic police chief was injured.
The Kurdish area of the city was crowded with people shopping for food to mark the end of Ramadan.
This is the latest in a spate of attacks on senior police officials in northern Iraq.
Kurdish demands for the city to be made part of their autonomous region are due to be put to a referendum by the end of the year.
