At least 25 people have been killed in two separate bomb attacks in the Pakistani city of Rawalpindi.
The bombs went off almost simultaneously at around 7.20am.
The first bomber boarded a bus full of defence ministry employees during rush hour and detonated himself as the bus passed close close to an official military residence, killing 17 people.
The second suicide blast, about 3km away in the city's crowded Royal Artillery bazaar, was timed to target army officers who use the route to reach the military headquarters.
At least eight people were killed in that blast, but it is not clear if any military personnel were among them.
Pakistan has seen a surge of militant violence since July, when troops stormed a radical mosque in the capital, Islambad.
