The US space shuttle Endeavour has returned to Earth following a 13-day mission to the International Space Station.
Endeavour landed at the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida, at 12.34pm (5.34pm Irish time).
The shuttle's two-week mission to the International Space Station was cut short by 24 hours because of Hurricane Dean.
Landing was rescheduled for today over fears that NASA's control center in Houston, Texas might have to be evacuated if it were hit by the hurricane.
However, NASA has said Dean posed little hazard or little risk to the Johnson Space Center mission control area.
NASA also said the structural dent which the craft sustained during blast-off posed no danger to the shuttle or its crew.
