At least 69 people have been killed in a series of explosions in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
In western Baghdad, at least 50 people died and 60 others were wounded following a truck bomb in Mansour.
The vehicle detonated near a petrol station, setting fire to a 25,000 litre fuel tank.
Hours earlier a car bomb exploded near a market in the Karrada district of the capital, leaving 16 people dead and 14 wounded, according to an Iraqi army spokesperson.
And a third bomb went off in the southern Baghdad neighbourhood of Dura, killing three people and wounding another five.
Meanwhile, Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's 15-month-old Shia-led government is facing a crisis after the main Sunni bloc in parliament withdrew its ministers.
Deputy Prime Minister Barham Salih said This is probably the most serious political crisis we have faced since the passage of the constitution.'
The Sunni Accordance Front announced yesterday that it was withdrawing its five ministers and deputy prime minister from the government in protest at Mr Maliki's refusal to meet a list of demands, including a greater say in national security.
The Front has also complained that he has marginalised its ministers, refusing even to talk to Deputy President Tareq al-Hashimi, who is not stepping down at this stage.
