The Romanian Ambassador to Ireland has claimed that the Roma families living on that Ballymun intersection of the M50 have permanent addresses in Romania.
Ambassador Silvia Stancu Davidoiu also said that the families were attempting to manipulate and mislead the public about how bad their conditions were in Romania to justify their refusal to return home.
The families have denied these claims.
The Pavee Point Roma Support Group said they do not think the ambassador's claims are credible.
Gardaí have confirmed that members of the Garda National Immigration Bureau are carrying out an ongoing operation at the roundabout.
This evening, representatives of the Roma community have told RTÉ News that a number of the Roma who have been living at the roundabout at Ballymun have agreed to be repatriated to Romania.
It is understood that the immigration authorities are seeking temporary accommodation for those concerned until a flight can be booked to bring them back to Romania.
It is expected they will be flown back in the next 2 to 3 days.
Earlier this afternoon, one family who arrived here three days ago and who have been living at the M50 roundabout, were being repatriated to Romania after they asked to go home.
Another man was taken away in a van by members of the GNIB and was returned to the roundabout less than 30 minutes later.
It's understood others are choosing to remain at the camp at the roundabout. They say they do not want to return to Romania.
On Saturday the gardaí served deporation orders on those living at the camp.
The families have 13 more days to make representations to the Minster for Justice as to why a removal order should not be made.
