More than 60 people have been killed in suicide attacks against the security forces in north-west Pakistan.
The attacks came just hours after tribal leaders in the nearby Waziristan region said they were ending their truce with the government.
Thousands of extra troops have been deployed in the area in response to what appears to be a backlash to the storming of the red mosque in Islamabad last week that left 102 people dead.
