An air and sea search off the Kerry coast for a US tourist who fell from rocks on Valentia Island has been called off for the night.
The search is due to resume at first light tomorrow.
The alarm was raised by a companion who saw the man fall shortly after 5pm this evening.
It is believed the man fell from the rock face into the sea.
The Valentia Lifeboat, the Shannon-based coastguard helicopter, and several local fishing boats were involved in the search.
