The teenage boy who drowned in the river Blackwater in Co Cork yesterday has been named locally as Martin Duggan junior.
The 14-year-old, from Emmet St in Fermoy, got into difficulties while swimming yesterday evening.
He was among a group of boys who went swimming upstream from the centre of the town at around 5.30pm.
