Arnotts gotten the go-ahead from Dublin City Council for its plans to transform the area of the city centre around the department store between Henry Street, O'Connell Street, Abbey Street and Liffey Street.
The City Council has approved planning permission for the development, which is expected to cost in excess of €750m
The area, branded as the Northern Quarter, will be redeveloped into a new shopping and entertainment area complete with 175 apartments and a 149-bed four-star hotel.
