A 23-year-old man has been charged in connection with the seizure of more than €107m worth of cocaine in west Cork.
Gerard Hagan, with an address in Liverpool, was charged with possession of cocaine for sale and supply at Dunlough Bay, Mizen Hand on 2 July.
He was remanded in custody to appear before Dunmanway District Court next Wednesday .
An application for free legal aid was granted.
A total of six men are now in custody in connection with the €107m drugs haul, the largest in the history of the State.
Gardaí have also been granted more time to question one of the other men being held.
Clonakilty District Court was told that the detention of the man, who was arrested after being discharged from Bantry General Hospital on Thursday, was necessary for the investigation.
The court was told that gardaí are awaiting the results of forensic examiniations of three jeeps and two houses, as well as the results of interviews being carried out by Spanish police.
Two men were arrested in Spain yesterday, after a catamaran named 'Lucky Day' was detained by police there.
The vessel was seized at sea and escorted to the port of La Coruna where it is now under armed guard.
The Lucky Day's GPS Tracking System and Fingermarks are also to be examined.
Meanwhile, a team of navy divers have completed a dive close to where the drugs were found last Monday.
Poor weather conditions had kept the divers from working over the past five days.
