Gardaí in Cootehill, Co Cavan, are investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred last night in which a 16-year-old male died.
The deceased was the driver of a car that crashed into a ditch at approximately 11pm at Bough, Cootehill.
He was later removed to Navan Hospital for a post mortem.
No other vehicles were involved.
Separately, a male cyclist in his 50s was fatally injured when his pedal cycle collided with a parked car in Co Meath this afternoon.
The collision happened at approximately 12.10pm at Newcastle, Enfield.
The man was brought to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown where he died from his injuries.
Gardaí at Enfield Garda Station are investigating.

Gardaí investigating the collision at Togher, Portlaoise yesterday have named the deceased as 30-year-old Damien Pelletier of Rossvale, Portlaoise, Co Laois.
