Gardaí say they believe two men were involved in last night's grenade attack on a house in south Dublin.

No one was injured in the incident, but some damage was caused to the house on Slane Road in Crumlin. The house was unoccupied at the time.

The attack occurred at around 11.15pm and is believed to be linked to the fatal stabbing of Derek Glennon in Mountjoy Prison on Monday.

The incident is the fourth explosive attack in Dublin in the past week.

The scene has been sealed off for technical examination and part of the Slane Road remains closed.

Gardaí found a car burnt out nearby on Leighlin Road and are examining it to see if it is connected to the attack.
