An independent review body in Britain has recommended that a man convicted of involvement in the Lockerbie bombing be granted a new appeal.
The Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission said it was referring the case of Abdel Basset al-Megrahi to Scotland's High Court.
The commission investigates possible miscarriages of justice.
The bombing of Pan-Am flight 103 over Lockerbie in December 1988 killed 270 people.
