Nato has conceded that it needs to improve its operations in Afghanistan, after the Afghan president and Pakistan expressed concern over civilian deaths caused by its military operations.
Hamid Karzai said innocent people were becoming the victims of reckless operations.
Pakistan has meanwhile demanded an explanation after its military said civilians were killed by coalition forces operating near the Afghan/Pakistan border.
