Motorists are being strongly advised to reduce speed and be mindful of pedestrians, cyclists & motorcyclists following heavy rain in Dublin this afternoon.
Areas hit include around Willbrook Road were side roads are closed due to the Owendohre River bursting its banks.
Taylor's Lane in Rathfarnham is also flooded.
There is heavy flooding outbound on the Long Mile Road by the Panelling centre, which is down to one lane, and also on Kylemore Road and the N7 inbound, by Browns Barn and outbound under the flyover for Grangecastle.
The road between Saggart and the N81 Blessington Road is flooded and impassable.
Motorists are being asked to take an alternative route.
There is also flooding at the Strawberry beds, the Chapelizod Bypass by the Maxol Garage, the N3 Navan Road between the two Blanchardstown exits and also around Castleknock.
The M50 is extremely congested in both directions.
Northbound is heavy from Sandyford to the Red Cow.
Southbound is very heavy from the M1/M50 roundabout - with a long queue from the M1 - to the Lucan exit because a lane has been closed off there due to flooding.
