The Iraqi Government has accused neighbouring Turkey of shelling positions in the north of the country this week.
Baghdad said the Turkish shelling caused huge damage in an area near Arbil, in Iraqi Kurdistan.
It is not known if there were casualties.
Turkey has long suspected Kurdish separatists of using Iraqi Kurdistan as a sanctuary.
12 killed in army base blast
A suicide truck bomb has struck an Iraqi army base southwest of Baghdad today, killing 12 soldiers and wounding 30.
Iraqi Army Lieutenant Mohammed Fatlawi said the attack took place at a base near the town of Iskandiriyah, 60 km south of Baghdad.
