Jim Rodgers of the Ulster Unionists is to be Belfast's new Lord Mayor.
Mr Rodgers takes the job with the help of SDLP support after seeing off a challenge from Sinn Féin, the DUP, and Alliance Party candidates at last night's annual meeting of the city council.
He also held the post in 2001.
