The Dublin Port Tunnel has reopened to traffic after being closed for almost four hours.
The National Roads Authority has blamed a computer system error for the problem. The system monitors safety, including height and heat detectors.
The ban of heavy goods vehicles in the city centre was lifted temporarily this afternoon, but is not back in force.
