Devolved government at Stormont is to be restored tomorrow.

The Taoiseach Bertie Ahern and British Prime Minister Tony Blair will be among the dignitaries who will attend the ceremonies in the morning.

Signing the devolution order today, Northern Secretary Peter Hain said he is convinced that the new administration, led by Ian Paisley and Martin McGuinness, will work.

Ian Paisley and Martin McGuinness are already working together; last week they welcomed the European Commission President to Stormont.

Tomorrow will see them appointed as First and Deputy First Minister.

Preparations are continuing at Stormont and nine years after the Good Friday Agreement, devolution is about to take root.

Meanwhile, the DUP Assembly member for East Antrim, 45-year-old George Dawson has died following a short illness.

The Assembly session to restore devolved government is expected to be suspended for half an hour as a mark of respect.

There will be live television coverage of events at Stormont tomorrow on RTÉ One, beginning at 10.25am.
