Police in Moscow are questioning prominent opposition leader and former world chess champion, Garry Kasparov, on suspicion of making extremist comments.
Mr Kasparov was briefly detained last weekend during recent anti-government protests.
The protests in Moscow and St Petersburg were violently broken up and hundreds of people were arrested.
