It has emerged that a 15-year-old boy on work experience is one of five people missing in a capsized ship 120km north-west of Shetland in the Atlantic Ocean.

Three of the 15 Norwegian crew members were killed.

The incident took place alongside the Transocean Rather platform. The crew were working on an oil rig when their boat overturned yesterday afternoon.

The boy's father and three other crew members are still missing and hope is fading that they will be found alive.

The UK's Maritime and Coastguard Agency is continuing their search and rescue operation in the North Sea.

The rescued crew members were airlifted to hospital in Lerwick in Scotland.

A spokesperson for RAF Kinloss, Michael Milford, said the exact cause of the capsize was not yet known.
