A man in his 30s was killed this evening in an accident on a fishing boat in Co Wexford.
The electrical contractor, believed to be from Waterford, was carrying out work on a fishing vessel in Kilmore Quay Port at the time of the tragic accident, which happened just before 8pm.
Gardaí are investigating a theory that the man was electrocuted.
It is understood the 24-metre trawler was preparing to take to sea for fishing when the tragedy occurred.
Crew members immediately raised the alarm and alerted the emergency services.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
