SIPTU has said it is deferring planned industrial action for a week at the Killarney-based crane maker, Liebherr, following agreement with management to enter talks.
There had been fears for 450 jobs at the plant after Liebherr told workers two weeks ago that industrial action over pensions and sick pay was having a serious effect on the company and its future.
The talks will take place under the auspices of the Labour Relations Commission on Wednesday.
