Gardaí are investigating the possibility of arson in relation to yesterday's fire at the headquarters of the Jesuit Order in Ireland on Eglinton Road in Dublin.
The fire broke out about 1.00pm yesterday afternoon, and caused extensive damage to the building.
No one was injured in the incident and the four Jesuits who live at the house were away on retreat.
The building is also the office of the Provincial of the Jesuit Order in Ireland.
It is understood that an examination of the scene of the fire and other information garnered by detectives has led them to consider arson as one possible cause of the fire.
Investigations are continuing.
