The main N18 road between Galway and Limerick reopened to traffic this morning following an earlier accident at Crusheen in Co Clare.
The road was closed after a truck collided with a railway bridge and overturned.
The truck driver was taken to hospital in Limerick, but it is understood his injuries are minor.
In Co Tipperary, the N8 also reopened between Mitchelstown and Cahir following the removal of two crashed trucks north of Skeheenaranky.
