King Abdullah of Jordan has told the US Congress that the US must do more to find peace in the Middle East.
Addressing lawmakers in Washington, he said the status quo - the cycle of crisis as he called it, could not be allowed to continue.
The monarch said while Iraq was a major concern, the denial of justice and peace in Palestine remains the source of resentment and frustration in the region.
He called on the US to seize the opportunity to revive Israeli-Palestinian talks and to broker a final Middle East settlement.
