Aer Lingus is to form a new partnership with US carrier Jet Blue offering access to 51 destinations across the US, Mexico and the Caribbean.
Customers will be able to book seats between Ireland and the 51 destinations through aerlingus.com or jetblue.com.
The partnership will significantly extend Aer Lingus' reach into North America and is the first time that two international low fares airlines have linked their networks to facilitate a streamlined travel experience for customers.
Dermot Mannion, Chief Executive of Aer Lingus, said: 'This is an exciting and significant development for Aer Lingus and for Irish consumers and it changes the face of access to North America for the Irish travelling public.'
