At least five people were killed and 139 injured when a packed train carriage slipped off the tracks and fell into a river in Indonesia.
Police said the train was passing over a bridge spanning the Pager river in Central Java at around midnight local time last night when the fourth passenger carriage fell into the river.
The train was on its way to the capital, Jakarta, when the accident happened.
At least 13 people were killed when two passenger trains collided in the same province last April 2006.
In another development, the head of the team investigating the New Year's Day plane crash in the country has said bad weather is the most likely explanation for the disaster.
102 people were on board when the plane disappeared from radar screens on 1 January.
No bodies or survivors have been found.
It had been suggested that the plane had exploded in mid-air, but examination of fragments found from the plane suggest this is not the case, the investigator said.
It is thought that overstress of the aircraft, which was 17 years old, may also have been involved in the accident.
