Hundreds of households in the midlands have been left without a refuse collection service after a fire at a recycling plant in Longford.
70 people are temporarily out of work following the blaze at Mulleady's head office in Drumlish.
In a statement, the company said disruption to employment is only likely to be short-term.
A man is in a serious but stable condition in hospital following the fire overnight.
The blaze caused thousands of euro worth of damage at the plant.
Over 35 firefighters from Longford, Edgeworthstown, and Ballymahon were involved in the operation.
Mulleady's is one of the largest recycling companies in the midlands and it is understood a substantial amount of paper and other materials were destroyed in the fire.
The man who was injured was attempting to remove a machine from the blaze.
The fire took place on the first anniversary of an extensive blaze at the C&D pet food plant in Edgeworthstown.
