Around 10,000 runners took part in the Dublin Port Tunnel 10km run this morning.
The road run took place on a 4.5km section of the tunnel some 20 metres under the streets of Dublin.
Dublin's Lord Mayor, Councillor Vincent Jackson, said it would be the only opportunity to see the Port Tunnel on foot, before it is opened for heavy goods traffic on 20 December.
