The Minister for Finance, Brian Cowen, has promised an enhanced healthcare package, including care of the elderly, and significant welfare improvements in tomorrow's budget.
Mr Cowen also said he would look after those on fixed incomes.
He said that there would be an extra allocation for people with disabilities in the Budget following an increased allocation in the Estimates.
