Bank of Ireland has said the threat of industrial action by trade union Amicus was unwarranted and out of step with the current negotiations.
Amicus today served formal strike notice at Bank of Ireland in its row over pensions and pickets are planned at a number of branches later this month.
Union members yesterday voted for industrial action.
