Frank McBrearty Jnr has told the Morris Tribunal that his treatment at the hands of certain gardaí in Donegal had destroyed his life for more than ten years.
Giving evidence to the Morris Tribunal this afternoon, Mr McBrearty said that while in custody being questioned about the death of Richie Barron, he had been tortured in the same way as the Nazis tortured the Jews and the US tortured the Taliban.
Mr McBrearty said just before he was released from custody he had got down on his hands and knees and in front of gardaí and swore to God that he would see justice and that he would expose what they had done to him.
Mr McBrearty said he had shouted throughout the day that he was in custody, protesting his innocence.
Mr McBrearty this afternoon accused the Morris Tribunal of trying to suggest that he had knowingly made a confession to murdering Richie Barron.
Mr McBrearty threatened to leave the sitting of the tribunal and go to the High Court to make an application because he claimed the tribunal was encroaching on his Constitutional rights.
Mr McBrearty also accused the tribunal of protecting gardaí.
